Transforming a Pup’s Life from Rags to Riches: A Heartwarming Story

Meet Ava, a precious little puppy who was born with two hind legs that were severely damaged. Unfortunately, her life has been quite difficult as she was surrounded by filth and suffered from mange. Thankfully, a group of rescuers were alerted to her situation and quickly came to her aid. They took her to be examined and unfortunately, the results were not great. Ava’s red blood cell count is alarmingly low at just 17% and she needs medication to help bring her levels up. In addition, her liver and kidneys are not functioning properly and she needs treatment for a blood parasite. Despite all of this, we are hopeful that with proper care and attention, Ava will make a full recovery and go on to live a wonderful life.
On the ninth day, Ava is receiving medical care from a vet to combat her blood parasite and mange. There has been a noticeable improvement in her skin condition, and she seems to be more energetic. An exciting progress is that Ava tried to stand on two of her hind legs and even took a step on her left hind leg.
After two weeks, the foster mother mentioned that she had to bring Ava to the vet for an X-ray to check on her bones. She added that she would also monitor Ava’s feces and temperature.
After more than a month of receiving treatment, Ava’s health issues were finally resolved. Her coat became smooth and silky, and she started to develop regularly.
